The MDI air engine can operate under different modes: either through a supply of stored compressed air charged in the vehicle only, or through producing compressed air by heating ambient air while using the vehicle on the road (at more than 50 kph).

To warm ambient air, an energy adjuvant is required (gas or bio-fuel).

Thus, the MDI engine offers:

• a complete eco-friendly performance downtown thanks to the supply of stored compressed air

• the ability to build up again the compressed air supply while using the vehicle outside the city (the supply doesn’t require refilling anymore)

• consumption of 1,5 – 1,7 litre per hundred kilometers

• very limited emissions on the road (0 NOx, 3 to 4 000 times less unburned HC than a conventional engine, 3 times less CO2 than conventional engine of the same power)

• comparable autonomy or even exceeding that of conventional vehicles.
